my ice maker isn't making ice
it cycles but no water runs in

:banghead:

the darned refer is less than 18 months old!

according to several websites, the fill valves go south regularly

hubby's back is out and it's no fun to have to mess with it on a holiday weekend

:argh:

It's on a new Kenmore, the icemaker is marked "M1"

1. Sounds like you're now in the "bags of ice" club
How's it going? Is hubby's back making some recovery?

Hope you're having a good day no matter what.

I cooked a turkey and dressing and it came out excellent so I'm a happy camper :bounce:

2. If it's new, it's under warranty
but there's no telling how long it'll take a repairman to drag his arse out there and replace the solenoid.

It could be worse, you know. It could have gotten stuck in the "on" position.

5. I'm glad you got it working
Our kkkenmore did that last month, but it more than just the icemaker. It took THREE sears/kkkenmore visits to find out and fix it. The last one put some in some freon.
>>>knock.on.wood<<< going on two weeks and freezer temp stays around zero...boy it makes ice now!
