Redoing the bathroom, slight problem. Fiberglass shower stall

has developed a crack in each shelf. These shelves go front to rear under the shower faucets. There is no option to replace the shower as it would require a major wall pull out. We need to find a way to seal off these cracks and cover them. Anyone know of a compound that could cause the crack to fuse itself together? Perhaps something else to cover it up. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

there are companies that all they do is repair/refinish fiberglass and acrylic shower stalls. He generally can fix anything and that's what he would do. Good luck! :hi:

2. Epoxy would bond it, but you would still see the repair

A marine store *may* have tints to color the patch, but it would be tough to get an exact match. I did a kelly green patch on my teal sailboat once. It was "ok".

3. There is shower fiberglass repair kits.

Any hardware supply - or store that sells tub surrounds -Home Depot ,Lowe,s or your local builders supply will carry it. Most manufactures of fiberglass products ,such as tub surrounds will have their own version of a repair kit.essientially you apply it with a small brush to the damaged area and it fills the crack.Given the age of the tub surround there is no way the exactify the color. Any installer or every for that matter carries the old repair kit in case something happens! When it,s new,nobody sees the repair.!
