venetian plaster in a bathroom?
Right now the bathroom is wallpapered and I was thinking about tearing it out and painting but I really like the look of venetian plaster. Behr's website says to use a sealer without burnishing. Does anyone here have any experience with venetian plaster - I was even thinking of using it in the kitchen -which is also wallpapered.

I've been putting off the redo of the bathroom walls since I've redone two large rooms that were wall papered and the women that did the papering loved paste and let her kids write all over the walls with pencil and ink prior to the wallpaper going up. Loads of scrubbing are in my future.

Why would someone wallpaper a bathroom - let alone all three of them!

1. I didn't know what venetian plaster, so I googled and came across a cool site.
It looks like some pros post there, too.

2. It's usually easy to clean the scuzz off wallpaper
and very difficult to clean stuff off paint, as you are about to find out.

You'll want to think about adding a packet of mildewcide to the plaster.

3. I vote no.
The texture of venetian plaster combined with the moist bathroom environment will - I think - attract dust and other bathroom ickules.
