Is exterior paint a good idea indoors?

I want to repaint my mildewy bathroom/shower room, and I recently found some folks on craigslist who was getting rid of a motley collection of Glidden Evermore Satin Exterior paints. "Ha! The fools!" thought I, and I snapped up the paint.

Since then, though, I've been reliably informed that exterior paint has somewhat looser toxicity standards than interior paint, which made using it indoors a no-no. Is this correct? What should I use if not exterior paint? Thanks.

1. I can't speak to the toxicity issues, but I can say that at least .....

..... Sherwin Williams makes a paint specifically for bathrooms. It has, among other traits, a built in mildewcide.

2. Did search and learned this

The reason to NOT use exterior paint indoors is they contain very potent mildewcides that can create health problems when the chemicals continue to release in an interior/closed environment.
Also, exterior paint may not dry very quickly when used indoors.

Go with what Husb2Sparkly said: Use an interior paint specific for bath area.

I bought a gallon of paint at Home Depot for $5 that was exterior paint. Loved the color
and was going to paint a bedroom with it...

phew!
