A question about friction tape
I use this for all kinds of stuff - anywhere I need to keep things from slipping.

So my question is, why doesn't someone make white or tan friction tape, so it blends in better with household decor?

Thanks.

1. We used it at the scrap yard
To build up the splice in the big wires for the big magnet before we wrapped it with Scotch 33 electrical tape

If my buddies could hear you now, they would be quite amused. Decor

2. Applied science, aint it great?
You'll find all sorts of industrial crap being used for something besides its intended purpose in my house.

I've even woven with old computer harness wires.

3. Now if someone would just invent a gizmo for
opening and closing those drain covers in bathtubs - the ones you have to reach all the way down to the drain to twist and open.

I just know that Mr. JaneAustin is going to come home one day and find me drowned ass-upwards in that tub, because it's up two steps and then you have to lean way to the right and down to the bottom to work it.

I'm currently using a cooking fork open it, but it's kind of inelegant.

5. Thats what I use it for
Inner insulating wrap on large cable splices.Followed by 33.
If it is a splice that may need to be removed in the future we give it a layer of 33 sticky side out before the friction tape.Otherewise it is a major pain in the ass to get off.

I've also used it as a temp fix for leaking hoses.Doesn't last to long or always give a total seal but in a pinch it will do the job.
