I need a carpet installer, about 40 miles N of Atlanta, Ga. How do

I find one? I tried the Superpages, Angie's List, and the newspaper.

I'm buying the carpe & padding from Dalton, Ga.

I found ONE installer from Angie's list, but I would like to contact several others so I can compare them. Anyone have any suggestions?

1. I don't know Georgia geography
but is Dalton near Atlanta? Is Dalton nearer where you live? The reason I ask, is that the store you are purchasing the carpet & padding from, should have installers available to you. They will probably have a staff of installers, and if not, then they should have a list of installers that they have used before, and can recommend to you.

Should this not be the case, I would think that looking for an Atlanta carpet store, and speaking with them, should net you the information and recommendation you need.

2. Dalton is the town where all the carpet mills are
he's probably buying the carpet from the manufacturer and they don't offer installation

4. Get a bid first
Although I was surprised recently how competitive they were, they did try to nickel-and-dime me to death with extra charges for stuff like each step, each transition, delivery fee, old carpet disposal fee, etc...

It still came out as the best bid, but nowhere near by as much as I thought at first.
