Propane to NG conversion - will this work?

I'm setting up an outdoor canning/cooking area on my back porch & wondered if anyone knows if the conversion kit in the 2nd link will work w/the propane cooker/oven in the 1st link? I sent customer service the question via email - but DUers are usually faster & more reliable!

(it heats up the house something awful when canning indoors in the summer ... o'course THAT'S when most canning needs doing!)

1. The Outdoorsman High Pressure 2 Burner Stove is ideal for cold pack canning!
You can preserve your summer harvest and avoid heating up the house in the middle of the summer with the Maximum Output Outdoorsman stove. Designed to quickly heat large amounts of liquids, this two burner 120,000 BTU/hr stove is the solution to your boiling, brewing, and canning needs!

60,000 BTU/hour per burner is way more heat output than what is specified on that camp oven.

Specifications: Two 5,300 BTU/hr Range Burners

You may not be able to get your canner to work with the camp oven.

Your idea sounds great. Do you have a windbreak?

2. That crashing sound you might have heard? My computer!

Timing is everything, yes?

Thanks for taking a looky-see, I think you're right @ the btu. I'm trying to get a 'compressed education' on the btu issues & then will revisit the plan. I want 'enough' to get the canner cooking reasonably fast, but not so much that it becomes a cost issue w/excess pressure, gas usage, etc. I'm seeing that it'll save money on the initial outlay going w/one of the camp stoves (I'm really liking this 3-burner!) instead of the cool little oven combo ... dammit! O8) Impulse shopping at it's finest - the wonky computer saved me from giving in before getting better info!

Windbreak won't be hard to come up with, once the right stove & setup is determined. Ongoing cost is a huge factor, that's one reason for looking for a unit that be converted to natural gas (way cheaper & more convenient than propane around these parts!).

Back to the drawing board.

on edit:
spellcheck works real well ... when I remember to use it!

3. In my sustainability fantasies, I would pour solar-heated water into the canner
Put a five gallon can of water out in the sun for the day.

Ok, we are doing a patio remodeling. I floated the idea of putting a grill with a high powered burner by the house to do our canning outside. The idea appealed greatly to the Appalachian kid inside my sweetie. Cooking on the porch! Let's bookmark this thread and revisit the ideas.
