Yes, it's a big deal. I didn't download Moveable Type or anything like that. My site is constructed of virgin Perl code. Of course, since I have a day job, progress in developing my site can be painfully slow. I assure you though, it's worth the wait.

1. PERL is fine for small sites.

The only problem with PERL is that it doesn't scale well, but it's fine for small sites. The website looks good, btw :)
