Database help......converting from Works. |
|
Me & my big mouth I volunteered to build a simple database for the historic society. I use MS Work 2000 to do one I have. Is it possible to convert from Works over to Access or Excel.
Or are there other program out there. I'm running Windows 98.

Export the works sheet into .xls (Excel native) or at the very worst comma or tab-delimited format.
Both excel and Access import all of those formats, including fixed length, so you can do it.
The trick part will be "normalizing" the data from a spreadsheet-run system. Prepare to butt heads!
