?

Just do this:
< div class="excerpt">This is a quote< /div>

except remove the spaces and use square braces instead of <>'s

As to the easy coding this, no. Coding is coding. Doesn't matter what language. Flash is easier than say c or java, but I don't think it is as sensible as shockwave in the macromedia arena (or at least not since the last time I checked which was about 2 years ago).
