Plone or Postnuke? Help!
Well, it's been ages since I've developed a website - the last one I built was back in the mid-90's - suffice it to say a lot has changed. I've been doing a bit of research on CMS systems and stumbled upon two types: Plone and Postnuke.

I am unsure about which is the best to choose. I find the Postnuke website hard to navigate (horrid design) and the documentation lacking. I notice Plone is written primarily in Python, which is a language I'd eventually like to learn. It is also the preferred language of Google and NASA, not to mention it seems to be rather simple to read and pick up (unlike PHP).

I am leaning toward Plone simply because diving into developing a site quickly with Postnuke seems too complicated and finding up-to-date information seems difficult. Both are open source and are published under the GNU Licensing Agreement. Really, I think the choice will come down to ease of working with, features, and community support. Has anyone here on DU worked with Plone and Postnuke that can give some feedback?

At the moment I am leaning toward Plone, simply because using the Postnuke website is a pain in the ass. I want to give it a fair shake, however, before I make up my mind. I am looking for something that has: lots of features, easily customizable, easy to work with and has great community support.

1. Drupal
Plone is most likely overkill if you're just trying to develop a small to medium site.

You're right that PHPNuke is a mess.

I prefer Drupal, and it's probably something you should look into.
