Help needed with form-and question about PayPal
I am trying to make an order form page for a nonprofit. I know how to set up the from using html, but can't figure out how to get the form to email the results to an account so we can fill the order. In the old days, it was a simple "mailto:" command, but with E6, according to what I've read, everything has changed. Can anyone direct me to a place that will explain the code I need in a way I can understand (which means simple!)?

I've also tried to make an order form in FrontPage 2000, and am not getting anything in my email and the submit page doesn't work either, even after I put in a valid url. I'd rather code from scratch, but if I can make FP work to make this silly order form, I will.

We're thinking of getting a PayPal merchant account to handle sales of CDs and books--does PayPal offer an order form or do you have to have one in place on the site for them to work from?

I'm used to coding information pages only, and it's been ages since I've made a form, so any and ALL help will be greatly appreciated!

1. I'm pretty sure that you can set up Paypal to send you the order as part of the payment...
The way you describe it, the person goes to paypal, has to go back to your website and click on a link to email the order?

We were selling books, and everything was done through paypal...

2. Oh great!
I hadn't gotten to the stage of getting the paypal account yet, as we haven't set up the inventory. But if they will send us the order, that will solve everything! THANKS!!!!!!

3. Paypal let's you make custom pages for your checkout
or you can use one of their standard ones.

You can also make custom checkout buttons, or use the ones provided by paypal. If you are programming the site yourself, and adding all of the buttons, there's some software that will really help you out. Look at it here: http://www.kingofresale.com/paylockpro.html

Paypal has a bad habit of closing your sessions while you are making buttons because of inactivity on the main page.. this just makes it easier. I used this software to make all of the buttons for this site. Check it out

Hope this helps you,

Doug
