Check out The L Word. :hi: I was away from the show for a while, but tuned in to see what appears to be the new season. I'm thrilled to see that they are actually showing a bi-racial child that looks bi-racial/multicultural, as opposed to looking one of more culture than the other(i.e think Jenny Willis and her brother on The Jeffersons in the 70's :eyes:)
Oh and brief informational tid-bit about The Jeffersons representation of bi-racial adult children. Did you know that on the episode that introduces the character of Jenny Willis, Jenny was played by a light skinned black woman, and not by the woman that the world eventually knew as Jenny Willis (the lovely Berlinda Tolbert)? Unfortunately, no one (in the networks)at the time wanted to put evidence out to there, even in a fictional television world--that a black woman and a white man had sex. So the woman that looked like a product of such a relationship was nixed in favor of an actress that looked less "controversial."
Anyway, back to the L Word--I was thrilled to see an adorable toddler, that LOOKS multicultural portraying the daughter of Bette (Jennifer Beals). Do check it out for interesting, story lines representing diverse cultures, genders, etc. and of course to see the beautiful Angelina that I speak of (Jennifer Beals little girl on the show). :hi:
Ok...just thought I'd share.
