3. I was a student of his a number of years ago...

...and though he is most often associated with peacemaking (and rightfully so), I'd say the root of his teaching is "mindfulness" -- simply being aware of what is happening at every moment. From that mindfulness, right attitudes and actions flow naturally. Simple, but not easy.

I have many of his books, and loved each and every one of them.

His teaching, along with other Buddhist teachings, have made a profound difference in my life: calmer, happier, less attached to things, and his big thing: more mindful.
