Christ The Lord Is Risen Today!
Christ the Lord is ris'n today,
Alleluia!
Sons of men and angels say:
Alleluia!
Raise your joys and triumphs high,
Alleluia!
Sing, ye heav'ns, and earth reply.
Alleluia!

Lives again our glorious King:
Alleluia!
Where, O death, is now thy sting?
Alleluia!
Dying once, He all doth save:
Alleluia!
Where thy victory, O grave?
Alleluia!

Love's redeeming work is done,
Alleluia!
Fought the fight, the battle won:
Alleluia!
Death in vain forbids Him rise;
Alleluia!
Christ has opened Paradise.
Alleluia!

Soar we now, where Christ has led,
Alleluia!
Foll'wing our exalted Head;
Alleluia!
Made like Him, like Him we rise;
Alleluia!
Ours the cross the grave, the skies.
Alleluia!

2. This Joyful Eastertide
1.This joyful Eastertide
Away with sin and sorrow
My love the crucified
Hath sprung to life this morrow

REFRAIN: O8)
Had Christ that once was slain
Ne'er burst his three days' prison
Our faith had been in vain
But now is Christ arisen, arisen, arisen, arisen

2.Death's flood hath lost its chill
Since Jesus crossed the river
Lover of souls from ill
My passing soul deliver

REFRAIN O8)

3. My flesh in hope shall rest
And for a season slumber
Till trump from east to west
Shall wake the dead in number

REFRAIN O8)

(One of the best hymn tunes in the whole Episcopal hymnal :-) )

8. I wondered where in the hell you went!
Now I realize you were wandering in the wilderness for 40 days and 40 nights.

Welcome back, Desert(ed) Rose! :hi:

9. Gee, I missed you, too!
;-)

You know what they say, though: Not all who wander are lost ;-)

Thanks, Rev.

Blessed Easter, everyone.

10. They served us champagne at communion with the wafers
to celebrate the rising of Christ.

The rector and assistant rector surprised the congregation when they popped the corks up on the alter, and the corks flew high.
