Hi friends,
I have a blog connected to my author site, and it's mainly focused on parenting, adoption, and women's stories. Well, as part of the "women's stories" category, I posted about my feelings about the Iraq war. Most of you know I actually am surrounded by pretty conservative folks, so predictably the couple of comments I've gotten on this post (since I posted it Wed. or Thurs.) have been really pro-war because most of my readers are conservatives.
I don't want to look like I'm argumentative or combative. So I was wondering if a few of you (especially the gals, since it would look suspicious if a bunch of guys suddenly start posting on my blog) could leave some comments tactfully explaining your reasons for being against the war. No need to come down really heavy on them--my readers tend to be very sensitive and polite, so would be easily shocked at DU-style arguments. But if you could help provide the balance for this view of the war, I would really, really appreciate it. I'm feeling a little isolated--on my own blog!
Also, I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE if some of you would consider registering and becoming contributors on the blog. I need some left-leaning voices. Especially some of you women who are in ministry. I would love for you to tell your stories. There's a "Tell Your Story" button on the right side bar that explain how it all works.
Here's the link to that particular post:
