Did anybody catch Tony Campolo on CNN, re: Haggard today?
He was brilliant - what a breath of fresh air. And I can't seem to find a vid clip or transcript. He was on with Wolfie today. If anybody has a link, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks...

1. Dang! I bet it was good! Campolo is fantastic, and outspoken
and pretty much the only evangelical willing to critique his own people, as well as himself and his own beliefs and honestly ask the question, "Is this what Jesus wants?"

Of course, he's been shunned by them for it...

I do hope someone posts a video link! I'd love to see it.

2. It was
Seriously, it was inspiring, and it gave me chills. Unlike most pastors who speak on these shows. He said it's beyond time for evangelicals to embrace the gay and lesbian community, instead of using them as a political wedge.

He was critical of Haggard, yet still said the evangelical community needs to do what they can to help Haggard through this disaster he's created for himself.

He was a good friend and advisor for Clinton. I've always respected him for that.

3. I looked on YouTube and Google.
So far I haven't found anything definitive, but here's an essay from Beliefnet:

4. I would be interested in seeing the video of Campolo's talk this morning
Unfortunately, I missed it- Tony Campolo came to our church last year and spoke. It was absolutely amazing. He is a mesmerizing speaker, and his ability to confront the fundie way of thinking, and question their motives is brilliant.

He has a new book out now, that I just saw at Barnes & Nobles: 'Letters to a Young Evangelical: The Art of Mentoring, Vol. 1'
