Has anyone heard from RevCheesehead lately?
The last post I can find is from early January in the Bereavement Group.

1. I just saw a post by her in the Lounge.
If I hadn't seen something today, I was going to ask, or to send her a PM.

4. One should not own this much underwear.
Too little incentive to do laundry more regularly. :P

5. I have a friend/colleague who just buys new underwear, rather than wash.
Me, I have to wash clothes regularly due to the critter hair issue--three cats; one black, one yellow, one calico; and a tri-colored beagle. Dark hair shows up on light clothes, light hair shows up on dark clothes. If my clothes don't see the inside of a dryer regularly, I look like some kind of critter myself!

I'm glad you're back. I was beginning to worry.

6. I did that in England
Edited on Wed Feb-14-07 02:46 PM by Lydia Leftcoast
The laundromats were so expensive (£3 to wash and £1 per 12 minutes to dry, at $2 = £1), that toward the end of the trip, as I ran low on undies, I happened upon a so-called "pound shop," the equivalent of a dollar store, where they were selling underwear at two pairs for a pound. I had six days left in England, so I bought six pairs for £3.

They were flimsy, cheapo undies, with elastic that came off if you placed your thumb wrong, but each pair lasted through one day, and that was all that counted. :-)

8. Hi, Critters!
I take my old undies with me on vacation. Once they're, um, "used," I toss them, rather than re-pack them. ;)

Thanks, hon. I missed you, too!
