The UCC has a campaign to help Iraqi refugees.

I assume there are other aid orgs helping displaced and injured Iraqis, but I don't know about them specifically. So, I was pleased to hear that my denomination is doing so. After all, this was done in our name, so I feel some responsibility to help fix it. Anyone can give, and it's an aid program, not evangelism (no effort to convert Muslims or others to the church). I thought some here might be interested. It just seems like a good thing to do.

3. I got an email the other day about the UCC's "100,000 for Peace" campaign

Is that what you're talking about? I love being a part of a church that takes its peace and justice mission seriously.

4. Yeah. The newest phase of the campaign includes support for Iraqi

refugees and servicemembers. My congregation is very excited about this. They like the idea that we're finally taking responsibility for the suffering we've caused others.

I love being part of it, too.
