Sojourners joined with World Vision, The ONE Campaign, Oxfam America, Wesley Theological Seminary, the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, Convoy of Hope, and many others to bring about the Mobilization to End Poverty. What follows is their email on the event.

Here’s what to expect:

THE MOBILIZATION
More than 1,000 Christians coming together for three days of worship, workshops, and action on behalf of the poor.


THE ADVOCACY
You’ll get a briefing on key poverty issues in the federal budget – and then you’ll go to Capitol Hill to meet with your member of Congress to ask for their support.


THE WORSHIP
Inspiring worship with Dr. Freddie Haynes, Martin Smith of Delirious?, Bishop Vashti McKenzie, the Howard Chapel Choir, and more.
