A Request For Thoughts/Prayers/GoodVibes For Mr. Dinger
He thought he had a pulled stomach muscle, and so did the doctor (in mid June). It seemed to improve, and recently he has had some pain, usually when he sits. It gets better when he stands too. Anyway, he said it's mostly on his right, just under his ribs. He's 50, and is having a colonoscopy on Tuesday. We are both scared.

1. Oh dear
I hope you find something easily healed.

It's funny, my little one has been complaining of similar things just recently - really sounds like a pulled muscle.

2. Thoughts/Prayers and GoodVibes for both of you. I'm no doctor, and it could be
one of several things. Sounds a lot like when my aunt's gall bladder would act up.

Was the colonoscopy ordered as part of the turning 50 routine? Just sounds like a strange starting point for diagnosing Mr Dinger's symptoms.

Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers...

3. Yup, It Was Part Of His Routine
Big day is tomorrow. I'm hoping and praying for the best. He can only have clear broth and jello today. Just to show support, that is my diet today as well.

4. That's great for you to support him by following the same diet. It's the prep that is
the worst part of it all. If I understand correctly, you can no longer get the little bottles of Fleet Phospho? I preferred them as there was less drinking of prep involved...a little Fleet Phospho went a long way!

I have to go back for another in 3 years due to many polyps (14) found the first time around. Hubby had none so he's off the hook for 10 years. Here's hoping Mr Dinger's test is more like Mr 54anickel's.

6. Update
Colonoscopy was fine, no polyps, no cancer. But he still has that pain, just under his ribs on the right side. He feels better when he lays down or sits, but the pain isn't constant. Sometimes, when he pushes on it a bit, it gets better. He was scheduled for a physical this Thursday, and he will have a CT scan Thursday afternoon. The doc today said it looked like there was a little bit of redness, but not enough to explain the pain he gets sometimes. Anyway, so far so good, but we just have to get past Thursday. Boy, am I glad we have health insurance. Everyone should have health insurance. Please keep praying, but it looks like we got a bit of a reprieve for now. *Crossing fingers* and *praying.*

7. Will keep praying - for both of you and for everyone to have health care coverage too! Cuz you're
right, "everyone should have health insurance".

Hope they find and can alleviate the cause of Mr Dingers pain soon.

10. Last Update, Thank God!
The doc called Mr. Dinger and said the CT scan was good. He thinks it is still a pulled muscle. Anyway, it's been a long week. But it's good news at least. Thank you everyone, from the bottom of my heart, for all your prayers and well wishes. I will be happy to return the favor any time.:grouphug: :loveya:
