I still get this visceral response to stuff like that. Maybe I need some professional help...Is there some AA-like program for shit like this?

It irks me no end that many people think that's what Christianity is about. I've brought it up in church discussions a few times...How do we promote what our faith is really about? No one has a better answer than "by our own example." Yeah, but I'm not on the weekly nooze. :)

2. I grew up going to one of these "win one over for Jeebus" churches with my neighbors as a kid.

I was one of their "trophy" kids. I didn't buy into the whole born-again, lead folks to Jesus thing - but a lot of the people were friendly and I liked the group outings for teens. My toubles began when I decided to move on...I could write a book!
