Is anyone here Eastern Orthodox?

or Greek Orthodox. Just saying hi and seeing if anyone is this, my grandmother grew up Greek Catholic which is Catholicism but with a lot of Orthodox traditions.

Generally, I have great respect for much Orthodox spirituality and liturgy...but somewhat less so for their politics. I've run across far too many Orthodox who make the Christian Coalition look like raving liberals.

3. I enjoy attending Orthodox services occasionally, but it's not for me

Some parishes tend towards legalism (you'll go to hell if you eat animal products during Holy Week) and exclusivity (e.g. praying for the welfare of all Orthodox people, not for anyone else).

The liturgies and music are marvelous, though, and many groups have a joyous spirituality that is quite geniune and moving.
