To ayeshahaqqiqa, pberq, and I Have a Dream: you're welcome, and I hope you enjoy listening to his show much as I do. (Ayesha, I think you'll especially like it; it seems to me he features Sufi poets quite often.)
To Ranec: I'm not sure or can't recall what James Bean's background is. I haven't explored his Web site thoroughly yet but maybe there is info there.
I see he has a couple of Yahoo groups:
http://www.spiritualawakeningradio.com/yahoo.html This Yahoo group looks very interesting:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SpiritualAwakening/messagesIt's interesting you find him stimulating in an intellectual sense, because I like his show for its poetic, spiritual, and musical qualities. But he certainly is a scholar, no doubt. And I like his focus on mysticism; it speaks to me spiritually.
Anyway, I hope you all enjoy! See my OP or
http://www.spiritualawakeningradio.com/sched.html to find out when the show is on tomorrow. (But if you miss it, you can always listen to some of his archives.)

ON EDIT: I wanted to add that if you have Sirius, you can hear him on LIME on Channel 114 (as well as on-line).
There are apparently a few radio stations that carry the show as well; I was just looking at the schedule page again.
And, to Ranec again: I was looking at his list of articles (
http://www.spiritualawakeningradio.com/articles.html ) and noticed that in the article
http://www.spiritualawakeningradio.com/findpath1.html">Finding Your Spiritual Path, Part One there is a little bit about his background, not very specific.
