I posted this article in Editorials not realizing this forum existed. Thanks to ayeshahaqqiqa for providing directions after seeing my article on Orbs in R/T take some punches from the resident thugs.
This seems a much better home for this article as well. While the story is about Wicca, upon reading the article it's clear that the chaplain has a very eclectic background in religious studies. How sad for the soldiers needing guidance and healing to lose someone who is learned, open, inclusive and responsive to so many faiths.

1. As a leader of the Dances of Universal Peace

in three Dance circles, I have come across Wiccans as well as people on many different spiritual paths. The one thing that seems to go with anyone who Dances is that all-inclusiveness.

2. It's truly shameful how the powers that be

do what they can to coerce people into following the "proper" religion (and a religion to begin with). While there's allegedly Separation of Church and State it only takes examples like this to show that Separation doesn't actually exist.

Living in the DC area, I know many Pagans who are in the military. I support them 100%. After all, the Celts were warriors - and most of their warrior deities were female! (Macha, Morrigan, etc.)
