Just curious. I am a rather typical UU type in terms of belief and believe in the power of symbols to serve as a focus of energy.

However, since last Spring, I had gotten a series of Norse tattoos (as a kind of tribal reflection of my personality)...

Anyway, since then I have had an extraordinary run of fortune... just makes me go hmmmm...

Anyway,

Here's to Odin, Thor, and the power of magical runes...

1. I read the Runes...

... and I was wondering, did you have any Runes (bindrunes or patterns made of Runes) in your tattoos?

Also, could you post pics of these tattoos? I like looking at them, as they are a really cool form of art.

I think it is really cool that you have tattoos of Norse imagery and meaning, as the Northern Europeans were well known in the ancient world for their tattoos!

2. Not in any formal way.

But I know the runes and the myths pretty well, and I have a tattoo of Mjollnir on my right shoulder with a Jormungand knot in the interior.

Im a little hesitant to get involved with an actual Hearth though because I worry a little about the sort of people who might be involved. If I showed up to a gathering and it was a bunch of skinheads I would find that pretty uncomfortable.

Might I inquire into the actual symbols/imagery in your tats?

3. That's Odin on the Left, Mjollnir on the right also with a rune

On my chest, I have two personalized ravens (representing Hugin and Munin).

My back is a Celtic shield (to protect from attacks).





I consider myself more of a Jungian/UU type... However, I fully admit to the power of symbolism and having it sealed in blood.

4. Hi there

well, a year and a few months ago,
I, without fully knowing what I was doing,
drank to Gungnir (Odin's spear)
and a couple or few weeks later large and rather painful,
but also probably necessary, change came to my life.

a few months ago I shared the last of my mead with Freya,
and a couple weeks later a fascinating woman came into my life.
