2 ideas...

Hey everyone,

I had a couple of ideas for the group; if you like them, feel free to start.

1. A "book group."
   
   Actually it would probably have to be an "on-line article discussion group." (Because if we agreed on a book, it might be hard for some of us to find it in the library or buy it.)
   
   But there are lots of articles on-line (for example at beliefnet.com and religioustolerance.org) and even some books (such as Peace Pilgrim's). One of us could start a thread about an article or book every week (or every so often) and we could discuss it.
   
   
2. Post about your particular faith/church: its background, principles, and what it means in your life.
   
   I think it would be wonderful to learn about each other's faiths. I'd love to learn about all of them. So maybe each person could start a thread about his or her faith or philosophy.
   

Anyway, just my ideas at the moment...if you like them, please feel free to start some threads.

1. I think it is a great idea!

Could I add that, as well as books and articles, we post urls to sites offering 'courses', such as a course in meditation? The late Pir of my Order started one, and it is free of charge. There are many lessons, lots of music/guided meditations, and it is something one could sample without having to take the whole thing. Anyway, for those who might be interested:

3. Ayesha, thank you for posting your thread on Sufism.

I don't have a specific faith to post about; maybe I will do one on being a seeker.

I hope others will post threads about their faiths too, e.g. Unitarian Universalism, the Church of Religious Science, and others. (Any Quakers here?)
