Chovexani:
"Matter is energy: humans, animals, plants, etc. We are this energy, it flows through us, and everything around us. There is a Source, which is where this energy comes from, and to which everything eventually returns."
You could not have summed up both my faith (Church of Religious Science) and my personal beliefs better.
But, since my faith believes that each of us has unique beliefs (is on a unique path to God/Goddess/One-Energy/whatever, I get to differentiate a bit. I, personally, for one, only belief in one 'God' (one Energy). It is neither a 'he' nor a 'she,' but an 'it' (in my humble opinion). More than one would confuse this old lady (46 - I get confused easily).
But I celebrate and honor my brothers and sisters who believe in more than one. I know that God recognizes it is divided up, if for no other reason that God divided up into us. So, in my humble opinion, there is no reason one cannot honor more than one entity.
Hope that makes sense. I just appreciated what you said.
Ma'at, Eqyptian Goddess of Justice
(Ma'at weighed your heart when you died. As Osiris, the God of the Dead was ushering people through the Gate, she judged each one, and decided where each was going. My husband picked it - because I am judgmental - try not to be - but am. He says that I would be a good courtroom judge).
