Hair Metal / Glam Rock Appreciation Thread
Post a link to some of your guilty pleasures. I'll start it off with "Winter's Call" by Badlands. I've always liked Jake E. Lee's playing and this song is a good example of it, IMO.

I'm interested to see what you guys come up with.

3. Here's my favorite band from back in the day.
I don't really consider it "hair metal" but that was the time period when they were around so they'd probably be included in that category. BTW, this is one of my favorite kinds of music and I used to write for a local rock magazine back in those days; I was steeped in hard rock, and I still love a lot of it.

6. I'm not surprised you hadn't heard it.
Cats In Boots wasn't around for all that long. Two members were Japanese (from Japan) and two were Americans. They didn't speak each other's language but they sure communicated well in the language of music. I loved that band!

18. About 20 years later, I discovered Motly Crue and the great guitar
work of Mick Mars (not to mention Tommy Lee, drummer extraodinare)A really fun group on stage.
Looking into Mick Mars, I am amazed he is continuing to play live in spite of his horrible illness and physical pain and obvious limitations. He is a hell of a guitar player and over all musician, and has more guts than any 5 people.

21. Dio Holy Diver video
I admit that I'll watch this just to laugh my ass off. I'm a huge fan of Ronnie James Dio and even love the D&D themes he's employed, but WFT was he thinking when he made this video? It's classic kitch. The rats, the huge sword, the animal pelts he's wearing.

Warning: if you haven't seen this video before, do not watch after consuming liquids.
