1. I just listed the Fugs 2nd album (on ESP) on the most underrated album thread

although I seem to remember seeing an interview where they said some uncomplimentary things including some words being censored etc; ( 1966; I assume that wasn't your friend running it 42 years ago). But ESP did have some amazing artists, including the Fugs, and I doubt anyone else would've had the guts to record them back then. ( Actually got to meet Ed Sanders about 10 years ago; but only was able to speak with him briefly) I had no idea that ESP-Disk was still around . Pretty cool, and cooler still that its your friend running it.

2. actually, my friend started it back in 1964

and while the label went went away for a while, it's back... my friend is a very, very, VERY liberal attorney and I can't imagine he'd have stood for censorship.
