Visual Kai anyone?
Edited on Tue Feb-15-05 01:10 AM by Az
Think Marilyn Manson on speed, crack, and heroin. Visual Kai is a style from Japan. It literally means Visual Style. The bands focus on creating very stark images on stage. The music is an extension of that image. Combining Goth, Speed metal, and Industrial influences as well as Baroque and other extrems.

Bands like:

Malice Mizer
Dir En Grey
Moi Dix Mois
L'Arc en Ciel

I thought you might dig this band called Grayskul.

The beats are heavy, operatic, with background string and horn loops that would be gray and black if translated into the visual terms of cinema. The more imperfect the world is, the more perfect Grayskul's record sounds.
