I know very little about recent country music but am looking for a song from 1999. i heard it 2 times in the span of a couple days approx the 1st week of may 1999
since i heard it on country radio 2 times in a short span i am assuming it was at least a minor hit but i didnt investigate it then for some reason
sung by a male it was almost a pop sounding ballad because you didnt hear too much of a country music accent but it was definitely on country radio (where i havent lived since then)
to the best of my recollection it was about a man who knew he had brought on the breakup of his relationship with his wife or gf and was grounded in taking full responsibility for what he hadnt given her and for not seeing that the relationship was suffering or that she was breaking down (some variation on that anyway) then talked about some day proving his love for her
and yes i know that sounds like half of the country songs written but if anyone has any idea please do pm me i have searched top hits from that period and have not had any luck so far the closest i have gotten is clint blacks "you dont need me now" but i dont think thats it since amazon said it was released in 1997
thank you again please pm me since i may not be able to check back very often and if you put more effort into it than $20 covers then please let me know that too
