Great online guide!
Most of you probably already know about this, but for anyone who doesn't, I just stumbled across the Cornell Lab of Ornithology's online bird guide and it's pretty good. Not a bad option when you're away from your field guide, have just spotted something over your lunch break, and need an online source to aid in identification.

2. the sounds can be very useful
I have some CDs of birdsong but my CD/DVD player is such a pain to call up a specific song that it's easier to go the Cornell site and look up the audio for the bird.

The conservation movement is a breeding ground of communists
and other subversives. We intend to clean them out,
even if it means rounding up every birdwatcher in the country.

3. Thanks, I hadn't been to the Cornell site in ages.

The sounds will be very helpful, I think. (I have tapes but they're a pain to search.)

6. Oh cool!
I like that they include mammals and wildflowers and so many other field guides in once place. Thanks for the tip!
