First Rose Breasted Grosbeak of the season!
I was greeted this morning by a Rose Breasted Grosbeak perched on the edge of my platform feeder. He looked exhausted; I am glad I filled the feeder last night. Hope this mean the hummers will be arriving soon, I put the feeders up this morning.

1. I have the impression that those are a rare sighting in Ohio
Somebody told me that. Can anyone corroborate? BTW, I saw one today in the park.

2. Not rare, but not that common, either.
Best places to look are in the north. The first OBBA map shows a distribution for them, but take it with a grain of salt, as coverage in the SE corner of the state was basically non-existent.

3. Well, that's us, on the glaciated plateau 2 miles from the lake plain
Thanks for the info. That was some technical reading, there. Of late, we have been delighted with this oriole that visits our hummingbird feeder.

4. Now that you have the link for the OBBA
How about signing up for a block? It's super easy to do, and kind of addictive. :hi:
