I would like to know what type of bird this is? A common sparrow?

The bird has since flown from the nest and is doing fine.

1. Looks like a Song Sparrow to me

but the pictures are pretty dark and details aren't showing up well.

Yes, that one set turned out dark. My auto focus sometimes doesn't get the best setting, but I didn't have enough time to set a manual shot with a better shutter speed/aperture combination.
