I have been seeing Dark Eyed Juncos for the last two weeks. I live in mid Michigan and I am wondering if this is unusual?? I don't remember seeing them in September before. Have I just missed spotting them in years past?

They've started appearing in Ohio already. In the admittedly out of date Peterson I use as a desk reference at work, the range map for "Northern Junco" shows it with a permanent range in the northern lower peninsula. Might just be more active due to migration and the weather.
