Red Tail Hawk Perched (56K beware)
Cross posted in Photography forum

I have gotten to the point where I carry my camera to and from work because you just never know what you are going to find. Yesterday, Thursday, I found this:

She/He jumped to another branch.

Then he/she jumped to another and giving me one more look before leaving.

2. Thanks Mrs. Matcom.
I was lucky to find one that had its eye on some prey so it put up with me. It didn't want to leave. Usually if I get within 25 yards of a Red Tail it high tails it out of the area.

4. I've seen several during my commutes this past week
I think they're migrating.

Some great pics again, Maestro!

5. Thanks.
Or they are just more active because it is that time of the year again to make new Red Tails. I am finding more and more together as a pair. I usually just find them alone.
