13. That's good.
I saw my first one about two weeks ago. So far, I have seen two varieties; the ruby throated and the black chinned.

16. I Am Fortunate
We have hummingbirds all year. I first started feeding them when I was diagnosed with cancer in 2000 and would go out every evening to watch them feed while I was watching the sunset. I have no idea how many we have now but the feeders have to be refilled at least once a day. Unfortunately, I can no longer keep the flowers they like but they sure do enjoy the feeders. There's just something about hummingbirds that bring peace to your soul.

17. I've been enjoying the arrival of Black Chinned hummers here in
New Mexico for the last month, roughly. April 15 I saw the first one--a male, as usual. I don't think I have any nests this season (they breed here), but it's hard to tell since the little rascals are so great at camoflauge.
