1. No good news at this nest in Poland

Originally, there were four eggs and then one disappeared. Two of the three remaining hatched. Yesterday morning, one of the little storks died. They will perform an autopsy but think it might be a fungus since this is what wiped out some other baby storks. Now this morning, the last little one can't be seen in this nest.

Looks like the momma stork is still in the nest. She rearranges the twigs and soft material in the center of the nest and cleans herself.

I don't know how long the adults stay in an empty nest.

This nest was observed by school children as a project.

4. Follow up

So far, the little bird taken for rehab is doing okay. But they still don't know if it will make it. The final results of the testing haven't been received yet. So we still don't really know why they all got sick.

I poked around the web page and the owners are interesting. The couple have a straw bale house. It's the only one in Estonia. Their photographs of the area are beautiful. Estonia is 6 hours later than the Eastern Time Zone.

5. Looking at the cam now.

There is a big white thingy moving at the foot of the Stork. Is it an egg or a baby bird? Or is it light?

The stork has moved. The white thing is obviously some kind of reflection.
