April 13, at around 10:15 am. Awesome just awesome! I was doing some a bird photography at a ranch in Dripping Springs, Texas called
Los Madrones. The owner of the ranch is the former Photo Editor for Texas Highways magazine and he now uses his ranch as a wildlife sanctuary, especially the birds. He's lucky in that at least two pair of Golden Cheeked Warblers come back every spring to breed then quickly head back to Mexico. They are very small, but I heard a female clicking, one of its calls, then the male started singing. They aren't the clearest of pics because they were high in the oaks and juniper trees, but I am happy to have seen it. I'll post pics of them after I process them.
