Inspired by the "where'd all the birds go?" post, here's some links that are good for finding out where they went!

Ebird: http://ebird.org/content/ebird/ - check out the View and Explore Data function. For example, here's a bar chart of frequency of occurence for species at the location I will be birding sunday - Andrew's Point at Cape Ann, MA: http://tinyurl.com/ycux7gg
It tells me I have a good chance for my main target birds: Harlequin Duck, Dovekie and Thick-billed Murre, among other good coastal species.

3. cool! Thanks! People mentioned a site here i have never heard of.

it's been interesting to see more woodpeckers, titmice, and various chickadees around in our yard since it got cold and then warm again over the last month or so. Some of em seemed to have taken up residence in the garage since the sparrows have disappeared. It's odd to see those changes year after year. Another interesting thing is the constant changes of migrators, here and then gone.


I think some of them have had to move house since there have been more trees cut down across the road near the neighbor's ample feeders, and they needed new homes.
