I just wanted to pop in and say hi.
I'm not exactly a birder. What I have been doing for the past several years is work, sometimes as a volunteer, sometimes as a paid employee, at a wildlife rehab center, where we take in a number of injured birds (mostly songbirds), as well as raising massive numbers of orphaned babies during the spring and summer.

I have therefore had the opportunity to see a large number of interesting bird species and work with them in a very intimate way. I have also become intimately familiar with what the babies of different species look, act, and sound like.

Among other things, I have a number of photos that I've taken, mostly of baby birds. I would be happy to post them here if anyone would like to see them. I would also be happy to answer any questions about my experiences.:)

3. Great! I got into birding about two years ago and I am addicted.
Part of my vacation last year was planned around a trip to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. So definitely have caught the bird watching fever.

I live in NC so we have a lot of year rounders and some seasonals. I just came in from feeding the bluebirds their meal worms and putting out more seed for the cardinals evening meal.

I guess I'm more of a backyard birder, but whenever I take a trip I take my binoculars so I can add to my list.

I would love to see any photos and I am sure I will be asking questions.

Thanks!
