Are robin eggshells safe to handle? |

Hubby has been bringing me robin's half shells since the babies are emerging this week. I set them on a shelf since they're just so pretty and then we wash our hands. I was wondering what you all do.
I'm also thinking of incorporating them into some collages but am hesitating.

as long as you wash your hands afterwards, just like you would with chicken eggs.
