I'm interested in taking some tennis lessons at the local rec center this summer and I'd like to get a decent racket that won't set me back too much $. Any recommendations? Thanks. :)

1. I haven't played in many, many years |

In fact, I think the last time I played they were still making wooden raquets.
I would love to get back into it, though. Maybe I can talk my son into hitting the ball around w/ me.

I still enjoy playing whenever I can. It's a great sport since you only need 1 more person to play. And there are tennis courts everywhere.
Prince and Wilson make some good cost-efficient rackets. A tennis store may better help you choose one than some kind of generic wal-mart type of store.
