I miss posting here every day!!!
I've had the BUSIEST WEEK EVER!!!! I started a new job, and I had something going on every evening this week. I haven't had the chance to get into the gym since Saturday. :argh:

But...tomorrow, I should be able to get back into a gym routine. I'll go after work tomorrow, and then over the weekend.

Just wanted to let you know I haven't abandoned y'all. :hi:

1. How's the new job?
I haven't been to the gym in a while either. I was on vacation down your way, then I've been swamped at work too.

But at least I've been keeping up with my home yoga & Pilates routines (such as they are). I need my cardio... badly. :hi:

2. So far, so good!
The job seems challenging enough to keep my interest, but not so hard that it makes my mind explode. It's one of those jobs where the work is never done, but there's no real day to day pressure.

I've GOT to get back in the gym...I've been eating a lot this week. ;) :hi:

If you ever come back this way, you and Neil should call...I'd love to see you guys before he heads up there permanently.

3. I know - he and I are the lamest people ever socially
This last trip was pretty hectic and short. I know I'll be down for his graduation in May, so we'll see how that goes.

If that fails, we'll be visiting Austin on a regular basis to see his brother & sister-in-law, and his parents are looking to relocate to Wimberley or possibly Dripping Springs - somewhere around there. Quite a change from Houston! :D

Sounds like the job is good, and I'm glad to hear it. I'm closing my store at the end of May, which is something I've wanted to do for a long time. So, lots of changes - and lots more time for me to work out! :woohoo:

Lots of people are heading to Wimberly and Dripping Springs. It's not too bad out there, for being in the sticks. At least they have a Democratic State Rep. :woohoo:

Spelling edit!

5. His dad's retiring next year & his mom hates her job too.
They're getting the house ready to sell & should have no problems selling it.

Ironically, one of my oldest friends is just getting ready to move to Houston from Los Angeles. The world's all topsy-turvy.

It's a neat area around there. I actually really like San Marcos. Crazy little place, it's like it's trapped in 1964 or something. :D

8. San Marcos is a strange little place.
I feel like a dirty old man when I drive around that campus though.

It's home to one of my favorite dive bars though: The Triple Crown.

10. Maybe there's something in the water!
I haven't exercised since last week. Something came up every day -- blah, blah, blah.

Today I plan to get back on track, though I have been doing a good job following Weight Watchers.

Good luck with the new job! :hi:
