Thursday, 3/30: Afternoon workout for me-- you? (Where IS everyone?)
Well, it's a running day for me, and since it's going to be 65 and sunny, I'll get that run in this afternoon.

I notice there are very few replies lately. I hope it's just that people aren't replying, and not that they're not working out.

How will you take care of yourself today?

1. Still feeling poorly at my house - sneezing, coughing, etc. We're
right on the edge of getting healthy again though. Looking forward to attacking my 75 lb dumbbells in a few days - maybe I'll just dust them off to start.

2. Hi. I'm waiting for March to end.
It has been a crazy and unusual month and I got way thrown. I'm planning to start swimming again next week, for real.

I hope to number myself once again among the faithful. :hi:

3. I took yesterday off from work to celebrate my birthday.
That consisted of going to the gym in the early am, 2 hour hike in the late morning, and then 2 hours of basketball in the evening.

I had to go to work to relax.

6. Happy Birthday!
Sounds like you put your body to work on your birthday! I'm planning on doing the same thing this year. I'll be doing the Danskin sprint triathlon.

Many happy returns.

11. Awesome!!
Good luck to you. I was supposed to do the local triathlon with a couple of friends but they backed out. I guess I am content just getting my body into shape right now and preparing for another 40 something years.

4. Ran 4.5 miles today
Getting back into running shape (gradually), recovering from a stress fracture on shin bone. Hope to be able to get back to 30-35 miles a week, but need to be careful I don't overdo it again. Much too depressing to not run for three months. Looking forward to hot weather.

I'm so thankful that I can run.

:)

9. 90 minutes of Yoga
I just bought the Mark Blanchard progressive yoga series and did the first volume. Fantastic! One of these days I shall succesfully do that stand on your fore-arms pose (I cannot remember the name of any yoga pose except upward and downward dog).

10. I'm traveling and my internal clock is totally screwed up
7 hour time difference and I haven't been able to adjust. No exercise and large meals means I'm going to have lots of work to do when I get home.
Heading up to the Alps to hike for the weekend before I go home.

12. I totally understand
I spend a whole lot of time travelling to different time zones and it really makes it difficult to keep on track. I find if manage to get some yoga stretching in morning and night it makes a big difference in how quickly i adjust both on arrival and when I get home. I don't usually get much cardio in, though i do have some audio "hotel workouts" which are quite good. And hiking in the alps will definitely be good for anyone! where are you? I was skiing in switzerland last week.

13. Sorry, didn't get a chance to check DU for a few days
I was in Geneva for the week and went to Interlaken and then Grindelwald. Had to get up and see the Eiger up close. Took the cog train up the mountain and then hiked down. The day before I took the gondola up the other side of the valley and walked back down to Grindelwald.
