Wednesday, 4/12: I worked out today--did you?
Hi gang! :hi:

I went back to spinning class today. I had been avoiding it since my hernia surgery back in December, but after months of working my abs back to where they were before, I felt ready to try again. It was great.

Then I went into the weight equipment room and did my usual ab workout.

Feeling pretty good today--how about you?

4. Ironmind Captains of Crush grippers
Like the kind you get at a sporting goods store on steroids

http://www.ironmind.com/ironcms/export/IronMind/Main/captainsofcrush1.html
I'm working on the #2 which requires 195lb of pressure to close. Just recently closed the #1 with my left hand. It helps for climbing but crushing strength is not the most important factor in climbing. It does help when lifting a heavy bar for deadlifts.

The Ironmind site has lots of good training information. Check out the Training tips section

2. Yes I did.
Went out on bicycle, got a flat 5 1/2 miles from house. Wife came with trailer to get me. Then went to gym and did back and legs on the machines. Since starting using the leg machines in early March inclines in the road and overpasses are easier on the bicycle. Imagine that!

8. Walked home from work
again last night. 45 minutes of brisk walking. My usual place of residence makes it impossible to ever walk anywhere (too hot and polluted), so I'm just loving it.

9. I sledgehammer the old cast iron tub in the bathroom
for my renovation project. :woohoo:

And imagine, I usually pay to exercise. But this time, I will have something to show for my exertions. A new bathroom!

10. Sounds like a fun workout.
I enjoyed the time I had to demo some walls while expanding the family room.
