Dear Senator Feingold,

While I am not from your state, I felt it important to express my appreciation and support for your efforts to support rollbacks on the Patriot Act abuses. The Patriot Act is a prime example of governmental abuse of power. As an American and a fellow Democrat, it heartens me that you are fighting to uphold our rights to privacy and free speech. In these dark times, we need as many people with integrity as we can find to stand up for what is right. I know that you stood against the implementation of the Patriot Act and as an American I appreciate this. I sincerely hope that you will continue to fight against the Patriot Act and we are in your debt for your efforts.

1. It's seemed very clear and coherant

and it was short and to the point which is a big plus.

I worked in a Senate office a few months and part of my job was to read e-mails and snail mail. I always prefered the crisp and to the point ones rather than the verbous ones. And there's a better chance the Senator may actually see it too. Good job.
