3. It would be great to be there to shake his hand.
After listening to Dubya bluster and blow over in Europe I can't help but think the Europeans -- and a good many of the rest of us, too -- would have felt entirely differently about a visit from a President Kerry.

4. I'm going, but don't expect to be able to get that close.
The Kennedy Library events coordinator called to discuss my group's reservations. They are expecting enough to fill the "overflow" room.

However, I did get to speak with him briefly a couple weeks back at a volunteer appreciation event. I called him "my President", he replied "thanks, pal".
