I don't care whatever anyone thinks. I'm on board the Don't-Concede-Anything Express.
I'm not conceding ANYTHING at this stage of the 2006 or 2008 election cycles! Not the US Senate, not the US House - heck, knowing what I already know about politics at my young age, I'm not even ready to concede the 2006 Utah or Wyoming Senate races more than 600 days before the election!
And quite frankly, with more than 1,300 days to go, it's too early to give up those states' electoral votes in the 2008 race! After all, Hoover won in a landslide in 1928 and lost it four years later. Things can change A LOT in four years.
You may think I'm crazy and wildly optimistic, but if you're not willing to fight for EVERY vote and EVERY seat in EVERY state, then what point does Howard Dean's plan to revive the Party have?
For those who want me to believe that it's just not possible for us to win races such as the races mentioned above: Can you explain why Oklahoma, Kansas, Wyoming, and Montana have Democratic Governors?
Yes, there is the media to contend with. And yes, there is the issue of electronic voting. Nonetheless, the chances of a Democrat becoming Governor of Idaho are greater than the chances of anyone using their false illusions of 'reality' to convince me that we have no chance. I know what the reality is, and the reality is that until November 7, 2006, or November 4, 2008, everything is up in the air, and nothing is decided for sure.
So... Take Dean's advice, and let's not concede ANYTHING!
